Sunday Funny's from Landen

Today at church Landen was going to the bathroom and a daddy was in there changing his new baby girl. Landen walked out all sorts of excited and said, "MOMMY, I SAW A BRAND NEW BABY! I think we need a baby in our house."
Me: Oh really? You want a little baby in our house everyday that you will help take care of and be the big brother?
Landen: YEAH! That would be SOOOO fun!
Me: Well would you like a baby brother or baby sister?
Landen: I want 2!
Me: Oh well i don't know about that! I guess you'll just have to talk to daddy and see what he says.
Landen: No, let's not tell daddy, let's keep it a secret from him! :)

Later that night Landen asked me to tell him a bedtime story so i climbed in bed with him and started making up a story... here's how it went:
"Once upon a time there was a little boy named Landen. Right before Christmas he was being a really naughty boy and wasn't doing what his mommy said and was always fighting his little sister. So when Santa and the Elvs were looking over the Christmas list they noticed that Landen had moved from the Nice list to the Naughty list! That meant, that Landen wasn't going to get ANY toys for Christmas this year, he was pretty sad and......."
(interupted by Landen)
"Ummm mom....? I don't like this story!"

LOL! Definately things we want to remember! Oh how i love my little buddy! :)

A Little Halloween Humor :)

Got this email from my mom and couldn't resist but share! I was laughing for too long not to share! :) HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

A cabbie picks up a Nun...

She gets into the cab, and notices that the VERY handsome
cab driver won't stop staring at her.
> She asks him why he is staring.
> He replies: "I have a question to ask you but I don't want to offend
> you."
> She answers, "My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive."
"Well", said the cabbie, "I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me."
She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that.

#1, you have to be single, and #2, you must be Catholic."
> The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic!"
> "OK" the nun says. "Pull into the next alley."
> The nun fulfills his fantasy, with a kiss that would make a hooker blush.
> But, when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.
> "My dear child," says the nun, "why are you crying?"
> "Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess, Sister.
> I'm married and I'm Jewish."
> The nun says, "That's OK.
> My name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party."

Funny story i have to post super quick before Warren gets home from work! So the other day Warren was taking a shower. While he was getting out i took his towel, clothes and ran off. Since i hadn't done any laundry (yeah, yeah) there was NOTHING for Warren left. So he came running after me. (Don't worry, kids were in bed as this as about 10pm) I quickly ran out the front door and through everything on the front porch as far as they would go. Warren ran after me (buck nekked) and while he was outside i flipped on the porch light and SCREAMED at the top of my lungs! Oh man, i have NEVER laughed so hard in my life! I was literally on the floor rolling around laughing!!!

Now selling bows!

Well i finally decided to sell my bows, headbands & bow hangers! I've had a lot of requests for them! I put them in our yard sale a couple weeks ago just to see how they would sell and i ended up selling quite a bit! I was rather impressed! I am in process of trying to get a website set up. But for now, i just have them listed on craigslist. If you're interested in any, let me know! I can also make custom ones as well :)

Time Out and Pirates

Our new "more effective" time out area.... (not recommended)

Cutest little pirate i ever saw. Snotty nose & all :)

We found this little guy the other day. After doing some research we believe he is called a "Katydid" It's like the spawn of a grasshopper & leaf. It was pretty interesting. Kids enjoyed playing with him for a little while, until he pooped on Landen and Landen chucked it! Since then we've seen a few more outside. They are quite cool little bugs!

I had been looking EVERYWHERE for cheap Tombstones to put in your front yard but have had NO luck! I even went to Savers and found one for $12.99! $12?! That's ridiculous! So i decided to make my own! Total cost for 4 tombstones.... $5!! Wahoo! I think they turned out pretty good! What do you think?! p.s. i think i will make a few more this evening!

Sunday Oct, 3rd

What a day! Conference, laundry, cleaning bathrooms and having the in laws over for dinner! (i know it's supposed to be a day of rest but i can never just SIT and watch something) Can i just say, THANK GOODNESS for TIVO! I would NOT have been able to enjoy both sessions today without it!! "Not expressing gratitude is like wrapping a present and not giving it". LOVE this message!

After conference tonight i hoped online and happening to be browsing craigslist. I found an ad for a free 1 yr old PUGGLE (beagle & pug) I, of course, being an amazing wife decided to call and ASK Warren permission first! :) After i rapidly got off the phone with the hubs i called the guy in the ad and he said if i had called 2 minutes sooner we could have had the dog, but some little old lady was on her way to come pick it up :( I was, oddly, pretty bummed. But a couple hrs later the guy called me back and said she never showed up! So we could come get him! Coinsedence? either way JOY!!! So Landen and i drove "all the way" to the other side of the subdivison to check out the dog. His name was Trek but that his original owners called him Toby. Ready for coinsedence #2? Literally a couple days ago i told Warren, when and IF we get a dog we need to name him Toby.... It was MEANT to be! Toby was destined to be our dog! So you bet, we picked him up and took him home tonight! He is the SWEETEST little dog and he is awesome with the kids!!! He is so loving and so calm! Plus hes a 1 yr old so that helps! Landen has been begging for a dog and this one, for some reason, felt right. Hes adorable! The kids have been chasing him around night!
So welcome to our crazy, busy, nutty, not so little anymore family Toby.

Speaking of adorable.....(playing with daddy's glasses)

2 Special Birthdays!

Today is Kaylee's 2nd birthday!! I cannot believe where the time has gone! I was going through old pictures to find some to post of Kaylee and i got very tearful at how little she used to be and WHERE IN THE HECK DID 2 YEARS GO?! Honestly!!! Kaylee is such a sweet, sweet baby girl! She's our little monkey, very mischievious & sassy (tiny but mighty, and you better not forget that!) but she's also such a girly-girly, has to take her makeup, her purse, her jewelry, everywhere she goes. We will go through 3 or 4 different outfits and shoes before she decides on one to wear! (she's going to cost us a fortune in clothes and shoes alone!) she's still so tiny and petite just like mommy. She finally graduated out of her 12 month clothing (well, some of it) and is starting to get into 18 months. She is so snuggly and so loving. She has started to say the family prayer and LOVES it! She's so sweet! We are very blessed to have this sweet, sweet baby girl in our lives! Last night we had a little birthday party for her with cake, ice cream and loads of presents! She is a spoiled spoiled little girl! And this afternoon Kaylee is having her little girlfriends over for a princess lunchin! I am so excited for it! Pics to come!

Today is also very special because Kaylee shares her birthday with her Great Grandma! What a special, special treat! She turns 65 today!! So happy birthday too to our special Poppy!!!

Pondering in Peace

As i sit here awake (far too early on a friday morning) my house is quiet. not much to do without making noise. (even warren is still in bed) i thought i'd get online and do a quick blog update.

On sunday Landen gave his first talk in primary! i was (am) so proud of him! He was supposed to give the scripture one time, a few months ago but was too scared. So when i got the call for him to give a talk, i immediately wrote his 30second talk and we practiced a couple times a day! I gave him a picture to hold (to hide behind) and told him that were going to "read a story to all his friends in primary" (that seemed to help... far less scary then a "TALK") he was so proud! he gave me the biggest grin and sat up and waved to me when i walked into his room. He asked grandma to come listen too, since daddy and grandpa were gone that day. He got up and stood at the podium so proud, and did an awesome job! I was so proud of him! He's my little trooper!

Warren, his dad, new brother in law Michael and grandpa went hunting last week. They went archery hunting had a great time. Landen was very sad when he found out that daddy was going to try to shoot bambi. But once he realized that daddy would bring home the dead dear and he could touch it (oh to be a boy!) he was hoping daddy would get one! sounds like there was a few close calls, and several arrows unaccounted for, they all came home empty-handed. But they all were thrilled to have some bonding "boy time".

Warren and i have "unofficially" decided it still isn't time for a new baby yet. but as warren mentioned, it's not set in stone and things may change. it just isn't the right time yet, despite how baby hungry i think we BOTH are. Is it weird to say that and then tell you we laid in bed a few nights ago thinking of baby names? LoL... yes, we are weird. So for now... we will stay away from our ward's drinking water and it'll just be the 4 of us for now :)
