Shots and Movies

We took both kiddos to the Dr. today for immunizations. Fun Fun! Landen was once again too sick to get the immunizations so he lucked out.... again! But he did get a well baby visit. First time ever he actually went into the Dr and walked out with no prescriptions! FINALLY!! He was 37 inches & 32.3 lbs, which puts him at the 90th percentile for his height and 50% for his weight. Kaylee did get her immunizations, Warren took off right before she got her shot to "check on Landen" playing in the lobby. (chicken) But we got her weight (once the nurse figured out how to use the scale.... she still can't do it without Warren's help and she calls herself a nurse....DRRRRRH!) she weighted 11.2 lbs and is 24 inches. 95th percentile for height, 25% for her weight. So we have skinny tall babies! But healthy!!!

Both are doing great and getting way too big, way too fast!! Kaylee is smiling and talking like no other! She loves her aunty tessa and her grandma c and never fails to fill her diaper when Larry holds her! ;-)

On another note, i took Warren to see Twilight tonight. It's even better the second time around! He really enjoyed it too! After seeing the movie i'm excited to start reading the books!! Luckily we're going to Pocatello for Thanksgiving so that will give me a couple hours of driving to start reading!

We hope everyone has a great Turkey day!!

Voting

A buddy of mine posted this on myspace and i had to steal it and add it to our blog. It was so true and just made us laugh.

here it is...
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read 'Vote Obama, I need the money.' I laughed. Once in the restaurant my server had on an 'Obama 08' tie, again I laughed, as he had given away his political preference -- just imagine the coincidence. When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone whom I deemed more in need -- the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight. I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I had decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful. At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn, even though the actual recipient deserved money more. I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

You have to see this!

Okay, so Warren and i saw this video on Oprah the other day called 99 Balloons (yes, i made Warren sit and watch it too) and it has honestly completely changed my perspective on life!! It really makes you greatful for every single day (even the stressful ones with the baby up all night just wanting to play) and makes me appreciate each day more, instead of obsorbing and only focusing on the troubles and problems we are facing. Hopefully you too will get something out of it! I will warn you, it's sad, but it's so good!! GRAB A TISSUE BEFORE YOU WATCH IT! I've seen this video about 5 times now and it doesn't get any easier watching and i cry every time.
Here's the link....

The family came on another episode of Oprah to announce they had a beautiful 100% healthy 2 week old baby girl. So, a good end to the story!! :-)

Halloween

Okay, sorry it has taken me a little to get used to this whole blogging thing and exactly how it works. Hopefully everyone is able to get to it now. Anyway, we had our first halloween as a family of 4 and it was quite fun. We went to the stake Trunk-or-Treat (for those that don't know, it's where members of the stake park and decorate their cars in the church parking lot and instead of going house to house we go car to car) and it was a lot of fun! Landen had a blast! The first car we went to he couldn't figure out why some lady just put candy in bag but he wasn't complaining for sure!! :-) He went to every car and very softly said, "trick or treat" and "thankyou" we were proud of our little polite boy! Landen dressed up as Pit-Crew Lightning McQueen. We had to FORCE him into the costume but once it was on and he knew were going to see his friend Neilsen, he was fine with the costume. It even lite up and made race car sounds, it was a pretty neat custome! Little miss Kaylee dressed up as a little kitty and i was mommy kitty. She looked absolutely adorable!! (Warren was a party-pooper and didn't want to dres up, i guess he went as Daddy). EVERYBODY stopped to see my little kitty and fell in love with her! Our neighbor about cried when she saw her and we even had someone ask to take our picture. It was fun to have everyone "OOOh and Awwwe" over her. She was definately the hit of the night. After the Trunk-or-Treat we went home and Neilsen's family came over and we decorated cupcakes really icky and Neilsen and Landen RAN WILDLY throughout the house! Needless to say, they both crashed that night!! We had a lot of fun to be able to spend the time together and enjoy it with some friends! It was a fun night!

Well i decided that it was time for us to start up our own blog. A lot of our friends/family have blogs and it's been a great way for us to keep in touch. And now that Mimi and Pampa are gone, it will be great for them to keep track of the babies. ;-) So hopefully everyone will enjoy it! I'll get some halloween pictures later today!!
